Summer time is finally upon us which means families all over are preparing for vacations. We love the beach, the mountains and of course, theme parks!
If you haven’t visited Busch Gardens Williamsburg yet, add it to your summer bucket list NOW! We visited last month and it was so much fun.
Here are a few tips to help you make the most of your trip to Busch Gardens Williamsburg.
Go Early or Go Later
If you are visiting Busch Gardens (or any theme park for that matter), the middle of the day is the busiest and the hottest if you are going in the summer.
The best time of the day is right when it opens or a few hours before closing. Not only is it much cooler, but lines usually aren’t as long.
Busch Gardens is big. There is so much to do and going early in the day allows you to get the most out of your time there. You can hit the rides early, enjoy some midday shows to relax and eat, then wrap up the rest of the rides later in the evening.
Get a Busch Gardens Membership
Although I am usually not one to buy theme park memberships because we live so far from many of them, Busch Gardens has some really amazing member perks at an exceptional value.
Their memberships come in different tiers that provide various levels of perks.
I think my favorite thing about the membership options are the monthly payment plans and discounts on things like parking and food (no matter how many snacks you pack, your kids are going to want at least one park snack, i.e. funnel cake!).
Enjoy the Summer Nights
Starting June 28th though August 11th, Busch Gardens Williamsburg hosts its Summer Nights events. Each night there are exclusive shows and culinary experiences. There is even a fireworks show each weekend after dark!
As I shared earlier, going a few hours before closing is so much fun. Shorter lines, great food, amazing shows and fireworks to end the night!
